Over the past year we’ve been following the startup journey of Hiria Te Rangi and her organisation Whare Hauora as she endeavours to solve poor housing that are killing people within New Zealand. They do this by using sensors that measure temperature that is feedback to the occupants via an app allowing them to heat the appropriate rooms - you can’t affect what you don’t know, and you can’t know without measuring.
This coming August (11th) at the National Library Hiria will be amongst a bunch (our word) of TEDxWellington speakers presenting … well, we don’t know what but we do know it will be passionate, focused, challenging, and come with much aroha.
We wholeheartedly recommend getting a ticket ASAP (it always sells out) and the ticket prices range from $50 to $250.
